A glimpse into the Secondary Division’s UNESCO Studies

Secondary division unesco studiesOur Secondary Division engaged with new immigrants through an Amazing Race-type event we organized as part of our studies for the UNESCO pillar of intercultural learning. We organized games and activities relating to a number of cultures at the Calgary Welcome Centre and were pleased to see so many smiles.
Our goal was to learn more about various cultures by interacting with people from around the world.

Our Spring Benefit Committee volunteers rose to the monumental creative and project management challenge during the weeks and months proceeding the Spring Benefit.

CFIS awarded BP A+ for Energy grant: Students to travel across Canada, internationally to tour power plants

CFIS recently received a $10,000 BP “A+ for Energy” award that will allow next year’s Grade 9 students to embark on a year-long environmental project to tour power plants in a unique real-world initiative by the Secondary Division science department.
