2015-16 Report to the Community online

Cover of our Report to the CommunityOur annual Report to the Community is the Calgary French & International School’s look back at the previous school year’s activities and accomplishments. It is an overview of the highlights of the work that occurred in those twelve months to bring the school’s mission, values, and strategic plan to life.

Head of School's update on the year ahead

Mme. Margaret Dorrance addresses the full school faculty and staff before the start of school There are a number of new and wonderful initiatives in motion at CFIS in support of your student learning. I would like to take this opportunity to keep you up to date on what has happened over the summer and what is new for the 2016-17 school year.

Leading by example: The retirement of M. Boucher

M. Pierre Boucher and Michael MarkowskyIn May 2016, M. Pierre Boucher (pictured left with CFIS alumnus Michael Markowsky) announced his retirement for the end of the 2015-16 school year, after 30 years of employment with the Calgary French & International School (formerly the Calgary French School).

Convocation...The future is bright

Convocation at CFISWe recently celebrated the personal, academic and philanthropic achievement of each of this year’s Grade 12 graduates during our school’s 2016 Convocation Ceremony. On that occasion, the tangible and intangible strengths of a Calgary French & International School education came to life for me like at no other time.
