The Springbank Rockies PeeWee hockey teams, led by the PeeWee AA team, coaches and parents, partnered with the Nathan O'Brien Children's Foundation, and set the goal of filling a truck with 40 feet of food. They distributed donation bags to 5,000 homes and returned a few days later to collect the food. They surpassed their goal and reached 53 feet of food - 16,782 pounds - and almost $5,000 for the Calgary Food Bank just before Christmas.

It was recently announced that the Springbank Rockies PeeWee AA team advanced to the top ten out of 300 Good Deed Cup entries across Canada, and is the only Alberta team left in the running this year. Just three teams will advance to the finals for a chance to win $100,000.

With the Calgary Food Bank's partnerships, they can turn that $100,000 into $500,000.
