Mme Tawnya Schile
Mme Schile began her educational career in St. Albert, Alberta in 1997. There she spent nineteen years teaching various subjects and grades, from kindergarten to grade six. During this time, she was seconded to Alberta Education for two years, working in the departments of Field Services and Curriculum Development. Mme Schile also served as an elementary school vice-principal for six years, as well as one year as principal before moving to Calgary in the summer of 2017.
Tawnya received her Bachelor of Education degree from Faculté St-Jean at the University of Alberta. After several years of teaching, she pursued a graduate diploma in Catholic School Administration and later earned her Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Victoria.
Her educational experiences have afforded her the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement and well-being. Tawnya's educational philosophy is based on his uncompromising belief that all students can learn, given a positive learning environment, strong and knowledgeable faculty and staff, and a supportive family. Mme Schile feels very fortunate to be working at Calgary French & International School with educators and families who possess the same high-quality standards.
