The Calgary French & International School has two cafeterias that provide healthy meals to all grades and snacks a la carte to Secondary Division students, faculty, parents and staff.
CFIS is a nut-aware school. This means that we work to increase our community’s awareness of the dangers of consuming nuts on school property. CFIS cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment; however, further to the goal of having a safe, secure and enduring school, we will take reasonable steps to reduce the risk for students with life-threatening allergies.
Current parents can login and order meals on our secure website at secure.cfis.com.
The staff at The Seed and The Core consider it a pleasure to be a part of your child’s day at CFIS. In the 2014-15 school year, staff in the cafeteria will continue our commitment to providing CFIS students with balanced, healthy choices, while offering a variety of foods they enjoy.
- The Seed Cafeteria can accommodate up to 120 people and serves students in grades 1 to 4 daily.
- The Core Cafeteria can accommodate up to 190 people and serves students in grades 5 to 12 daily.
Both dining halls can be readily re-configured to accommodate a variety of events from competitive and recreational sporting activities, theatrical and musical performances to lectures and presentations.
Services at our cafeterias include:

Become a cafeteria volunteer
The CFIS cafeterias benefit greatly from the assistance of parent volunteers. It’s a great way for parents to meet other parents and their children’s classmates. The students also enjoy seeing their parents and other relatives in the cafeteria at lunchtime. Please contact Tracy Nelson at email@example.com for more information.
